The DM Fabrication Singles were held at the club on Sunday and after an early heavy downpour the weather improved for a competitive day of bowls.

4 groups of five players competing to win their respective groups to qualify for the semi final stages. The players who qualified were Gary Grumoli, Kenny Kerr Snr, Gavin McLachlan and Alan Sinclair. After a random draw Kenny and Gavin were SF1 with Gary and Alan SF2

Kenny and Gavins game was very competitive with both players on top form. Kenny going in to the last end 8-6 and scoring a 2 to win 10-6.

Gary and Alan's game was nip and tuck in the early stages with Gary leading 4-3 however Alan finished strong to take the game 8-4.

The final between Alan and Kenny was another tight game, with no real big scoring ends. Alan managing to go in to the final end 7-4 up and scoring a 1 to make the final score 8-4.

The club would like to thank DM Fabrication for the continued sponsorship of our singles. Isobel Dalziel for keeping everyone fed throughout the day. Sam behind the bar. Bobby the greekeeper and Gavin for running another successful competition.

Special mention to the juniors of Poppy, Ollie and Lewis who played in the competition and gained valuable experience.
