Throwback Thursday 🔙

We had a fantastic time at the Welding, Joining and Manufacturing Exhibition at TWI Cambridge back in July!

We had the opportunity to host the Certification area, bringing people together for talks, 1-2-1 sessions and networking. It was great to speak to so many people about their certification needs and answer questions about their current or future certification journey.

Congratulations to TWI Ltd on a brilliant flagship event, and a huge thank you to everyone who attended our sessions or came along to speak to our team.

Our Senior Welding Verification Assessor, Kevin Dunn, carried out an audit of Castleford College last week as part of their Certification Scheme for Welder Training Organisations (CSWTO) Certification. The audit included 12 Welder Qualification Tests in accordance with ISO 17024! Check out these great photos from his visit!

Following the recent reinstatement of TWI Certification Ltd's ISO/IEC 17024 UKAS accreditation, we know many of our candidates may have questions about what this means for them, and their certification.

Important: UKAS Accreditation Reinstated

We are pleased to confirm that UKAS has lifted the temporary suspension of our ISO/IEC 17024 accreditation, with full accreditation status restored on 21 August 2026 under accreditation number 0025.

The successful reinstatement reflects our continued commitment to delivering trusted, impartial and robust certification services for our customers and stakeholders.

Applications are being processed in date order, and UKAS-accredited certificates will be issued as quickly as possible to candidates who have met the certification requirements.

We thank our customers, candidates, agents and stakeholders for their patience, understanding and continued support.

🎭 Did you know that the National Theatre in London has their own team of welders? In fact, nearly all staging of the scenery and props are made onsite by their highly-skilled Workshops department team!

Our Welding Verification Assessor, Callum Ames, visited the National Theatre recently to witness Welder Performance Qualifications in accordance with BS EN ISO 9606-1. This gives the National Theatre confidence in the competence of their welding team, the work they undertake, and therefore, the safety of their actors on stage.

The National Theatre have also started discussions on the importance of proving competency with other theatres, in the hopes that they can work together to build upon and strengthen the safety measures in theatres across the UK.
