Revised ISO 9001:2026 & how can help!
The Draft International Standard (DIS) for the revised ISO 9001:2026 was published on August 27, 2025, with the final version expected in the second half of 2026. This update will reflect a global effort to modernize the quality management system ( ) standard by focusing on themes such as risk, , , and . Organizations should prepare for the upcoming changes by conducting a gap analysis, updating their QMS documentation, and engaging with their certification bodies to plan for the transition to the new standard.
The expected changes relate to areas such as organisational knowledge, resilience, sustainability and change, chain and risk management, with the update aimed at harmonising ISO 9001 with other Quality Management standards, as well as clarifying specific requirements.
