Well, what an incredible few months it has been!🌟

As some of you may know, we recently moved into a new premises, just 10 minutes down the road from our previous location. It’s safe to say it’s been quite a journey so far, and this is only the beginning!

Our new workshop is squeaky clean and shiny (well, as much as a workshop can be!), and we’re thrilled to continue taking care of your Porsches in this fantastic new space. We’re also excited to introduce our new team member, Sam, who brings valuable Porsche main dealer experience to the table.

We want to extend a huge thank you to all our loyal customers and followers who have stuck with us through this transition. We’re so excited to keep serving you in our new home.

Today’s IMS upgrade was a new one - one expects M96 stamped cases to have a normal “removable” bearing, but upon inspection we found the later M97 IMS installed, presumably a reman short block from Porsche fitted some years ago.
Luckily for this customer our good friends over at Hartech Porsche now offer a clever new IMS fl**ge that promotes splash lubrication.
Front seal removed, bearing checked and fl**ge installed ✅

Both items found on the same 2012 981 Boxster S - not a bad innings at 12 years but both will fail a mot and make the car that little bit more dangerous to drive 🤠

The pedal bushes in particular can initially go unnoticed, but can start to bind causing the brakes to drag and overheat, more prominent in hot conditions (when heaters on feet) and generally just a low cost poor design that should really be a lifetime recall from Porsche

One owner kept driving with the pedal stuck and needed all new discs and pads, along with new caliper seals all round - not cheap.

if you suffer these symptoms during driving, don’t panic! just lift the brake pedal and you will be able to freewheel again, an interesting driving style but very worth getting these checked and replaced on all 991 981 etc for the superseeded items.

Our GTS is now sold, nice upgrades include changing the colour of the wheels, adding our wireless CarPlay system and finishing of with a Miltek centre silencer delete, for the same price as a standard 991, we know which we’d rather be driving home 🙂
