This week, we’re rolling into Wednesday with Maya Mynx 🖤💪

Maya uses a Tiga Sub4, and her chair has given her so much more freedom and independence! 🦽💨 From getting stronger in the gym to wheeling faster on the basketball court, her chair helps her keep doing what she loves 💪

But it’s about more than that. Maya is also challenging stereotypes and showing people what wheelchair users can do, both in and out of their chairs! 👏🖤

We LOVE seeing our community pushing boundaries, building strength and doing things their own way! 💪

♿ WHEELCHAIR WEDNESDAY | David

This week, we’re rolling into Wednesday with wheelchair racing legend David Weir 🛞🖤

David is in a CeramiX Octane Sub4 in Jet Black, paired with his custom TC MAXX hand rims and his StreetJet attached to his chair. ⚡️

The StreetJet helps get him around town more easily, taking some of the strain out of manually pushing when he’s out and about. 💨

We LOVE seeing the different ways our community makes their RGK setup work for them 🥹🖤

Welcome to the RGK team, Joy Haizelden 🤝

A three-time Paralympian, World Championship silver medallist and Commonwealth Games gold medallist, Joy has been competing at the highest level of wheelchair basketball for more than a decade 🏀♿️

Joy made her Great Britain senior debut as a teenager and became the youngest player to represent GB at a World Wheelchair Basketball Championship. Since then, she’s gone on to compete at Rio 2016, Tokyo 2020 and Paris 2024, while helping Great Britain secure silver at the 2018 World Championships.

Her success has continued on the international stage, with Joy winning bronze with Team England at Birmingham 2022 before helping the team go one step further and claim wheelchair basketball gold at Glasgow 2026 🥇🔥

That's why we're incredibly proud to support Joy with RGK and to welcome her to the team as an RGK ambassador! We can't wait to see what comes next and to follow Joy's journey both on and off the court 🖤🔥

WORLDS ARE COMING 🇬🇧

This August, Great Britain Wheelchair Rugby heads to São Paulo, Brazil, for the 2026 World Wheelchair Rugby Championships, where the world's best teams will battle it out for global glory. Great Britain will face Denmark, Colombia, Germany, Japan and France in the group stages.

Five group games. One goal.
From the first whistle to Finals Day, every hit, every turnover and every try will matter.

Can't make it to Brazil?
Every match from the World Championships will be streamed live on the official World Wheelchair Rugby YouTube channel, so you can follow GB every step of the way.

All times shown are British Summer Time (BST). Fixtures are based on the official tournament schedule.

Following the group stage, the top four teams from each pool will progress to the quarter-finals on 21 August. Semi-finals take place on 22 August before the World Championship medals are decided on Finals Day, Sunday 23 August. Teams not progressing to the quarter-finals will compete in classification matches.

We’re proud to announce our new partnership with the University of Nottingham Sport! 🎓💚💛

Through this partnership, we’ll be helping students access specialist wheelchair equipment, expert RGK support and the knowledge they need to find the right setup for them ♿️

Whether students are new to wheelchair sport, looking to develop their skills or competing at a higher level, our aim is to make specialist equipment and expertise more accessible, helping them train, compete and perform at their best 💪

As part of the partnership, we’ll be working closely with University of Nottingham Sport through equipment support, events, assessments and fittings, as well as opportunities for students to connect directly with the RGK team and benefit from our specialist knowledge of wheelchair sport.

From understanding the different equipment available to finding a chair that works for their individual needs, we’ll be supporting students throughout their wheelchair sport journey and helping them get the most from their equipment, both on and off the court 🖤

We’re looking forward to working with University of Nottingham Sport and supporting more students to get involved in wheelchair sport, develop their skills and reach their goals! 🔥
