Plenty of you will know Tom from speaking to our sales team. This time, it’s his Mini getting the attention. 🔧

Like many of the team here, the interest doesn’t stop when the working day does — Tom has a Classic Mini of his own.

His Clubman came into the workshop with some running issues, so while it was with us we took the opportunity to go through the car properly.

Alongside getting it running right again, we’ve carried out a thorough health check, replaced the rear wheel bearings, fitted braided rear brake hoses and copper pipes, and taken care of the subframe mounting.

The shell is back from the Mini Sport bodyshop, the engine is built ready to go in.

There’s still plenty of work ahead, but this is always a satisfying point in a build - when all that preparation starts turning back into a Mini.

There’s something very satisfying about this part of a Mini restoration. 👀

Basil has finished painting another Classic Mini shell in the Mini Sport bodyshop, and now it’s time for the unmasking.

After all the preparation and paintwork, this is the moment the finished shell really starts to come together.
