👋 Technical Sales Engineer – Harry Beaumont

Harry joined Handling Concepts in 2021 as a Service Engineer and has progressed through the workshop into Technical Sales. Today, he manages customer enquiries from concept to completion, delivering tailored solutions to complex handling challenges.

With an HNC in Electrical & Electronic Engineering and LEEA accreditation, Harry combines technical expertise with a logical, customer-focused approach. His fresh thinking continues to improve operational efficiency, strengthen our sales function, and support business growth — all while building strong, long-term customer relationships.

🚀 A new chapter in Spain

We’re pleased to announce that Handling Concepts now has representation in Barcelona, marking an important step in our international growth and our ability to support projects beyond the UK.

As part of this move, Harry has relocated to Barcelona to represent Handling Concepts – España, supporting clients across technically demanding projects. His experience spans engineering, bespoke solution design, manufacture, and site delivery — bringing valuable hands-on and commercial insight to international operations.

Lifting equipment and safety challenges are universal. While locations may change, the risks involved in lifting operations do not — and neither should best practice.

By establishing a presence overseas, we’re ensuring the same high standards of engineering, compliance, and safety-led thinking that define our UK work are carried through to international projects.

Handling Concepts specialises in the design and supply of bespoke lifting attachments, engineered around specific loads, constraints, and operational requirements. Working closely with our trusted partners BPM, CeiliX, and Torros, we deliver robust, compliant solutions across a wide range of industries.

📍 With Harry based in Barcelona, we’re well positioned to support international clients — from early technical discussions through to delivery — while remaining a trusted partner for complex lifting challenges beyond UK borders.

Meet the Team: Matt Gibbons – Engineering Manager

I first met Matt when he joined us as a placement student, and he made an immediate impression. His leadership, maturity, and natural ability were evident from day one.

After achieving a first-class master’s in Mechanical Design Engineering, he returned to Handling Concepts—and progressed rapidly. From Graduate Design Engineer to Design Office Manager and now Engineering Manager, Matt’s journey highlights our ongoing commitment to developing talented individuals.

As my right hand, he gives me total confidence in our engineering operations. I hate to admit it… but he does a far better job than I ever did!

Matt leads our engineering processes with collaboration, curiosity, and a passion for solving real-world problems. His focus on continuous improvement plays a key role in delivering the innovation our customers depend on.

We’re incredibly proud of everything he’s achieved—and excited for what comes next.

A Message from the Managing Director

As we continue our Meet the Handling Concepts Team series, I wanted to share a few thoughts about what makes our people — and our business — so special.

When David joined us, it was immediately apparent that he shared the same values, integrity, and genuine commitment to serving our customers by solving a problem rather than selling for selling’s sake. That mindset sits right at the heart of Handling Concepts.

Handling Concepts has always been led by engineers, not salespeople. The company was founded by Roger Pask, an engineer who both designed and sold the handling equipment. His practical, problem-solving approach laid the foundations for how we still operate today.

When I joined Roger as a director in 2013, my background was in the design of packaging machinery and bespoke handling systems. In those early years, Roger and I were both hands-on in the design and sales of equipment. As the business has grown, we now have a dedicated design office managing all detailed design work — but that same engineering mindset still drives everything we do.

Every member of our sales and project management team comes from an engineering background, which means we understand our customers’ challenges and how to deliver the right solution. Our strength lies in collaboration — developing solutions together, whether that means designing something bespoke or sourcing from one of our trusted partners.

I’m proud of the company we’ve built and the people who make it what it is. Across the team, there’s a shared commitment to quality, reliability, and doing what’s right for the customer. For us, functionality and safety will always come before profit. That’s what defines Handling Concepts — and it’s what keeps our customers coming back.

Meet the Team: Our Founder, Roger Pask

We’re starting our Meet the Team series with the person who started it all — Roger Pask, Founder of Handling Concepts.

With a lifelong passion for machinery and problem-solving, Roger founded the company in 1994, after 20 years in industry. His vision was simple: to build a business that values people, nurtures young engineers, and never stops improving.

As Handling Concepts’ first employee, I was lucky to be mentored and supported by Roger. His investment in people — and his belief that developing talent is key to success — shaped the culture we’re proud of today.

Roger retired in 2018, but his legacy continues to drive us. Thirty years later, he says he’s proud to see the same professionalism and energy that he built the business upon.
