Did you know that 1 in 6 adults in the UK are affected by hearing loss? 👂

That’s around 11 million people so chances are, we all know someone who has experienced difficulty with their hearing.

At Regain Hearing, we decided early on that we wanted to do things differently. For us, aftercare isn’t simply:

“Here are your hearing aid, give us a call if there’s a problem.”

It’s about continuity, support and genuinely looking after our clients.

We bring people back regularly, listen to how they’re getting on, make adjustments and continue working with them until their hearing aids are working for them in their everyday life.

Because getting your hearing aids is just the beginning.

Your hearing journey doesn’t end there, that’s where proper aftercare begins. 💙

Healthy Aging Month

Healthy ageing isn’t just about looking after your body, it’s about looking after the things that help you enjoy life, stay connected and feel confident.

And that includes your hearing. 👂

Being able to hear the laughter of your family, enjoy a conversation with friends or simply take in the sounds around you can make such a difference to everyday life.

Hearing changes can happen slowly, so you may not always notice them straight away.

This Healthy Aging Month, why not put your hearing on your wellbeing checklist?

When was the last time you had your hearing checked?

Have you ever wondered where your tinnitus is actually coming from?

One possible factor behind tinnitus is changes in your hearing. Sometimes these changes can be subtle or may not be picked up by a conventional hearing test often referred to as hidden hearing loss.

Tinnitus can also be perceived at higher frequencies, which is why looking beyond the usual 8,000 Hz range can sometimes provide useful additional information.

Rather than simply accepting the ringing, buzzing or hissing, the first step is understanding what might be happening with your hearing.

🎯 Find where your tinnitus is. Understand it. Then explore ways to target it.

If you're living with tinnitus and want to know more, our Audiologists are here to help.

💙 We love hearing stories like this from our patients.

This lovely patient was recommended to us by their daughter, and we’re so pleased that they felt welcomed and cared for from the moment they walked through our doors. 🥰

From earwax removal and a thorough hearing test, to having everything explained clearly, it’s wonderful to know they felt supported throughout their visit.

Their kind words mean so much to our team, especially knowing they would
“certainly recommend this company.” ❤️

Thank you for choosing Regain Hearing and for taking the time to share your experience with us! 👂

What makes Lee & Lindsay different as directors of Regain Hearing?

They’ve always remained hands-on audiologists.

For the last 20 years, they’ve continued working directly with patients, seeing around 50 clients each month and keeping up with what’s happening across the industry.

They compare it to learning an instrument, the more hours you put in, the better you become. 🎵

That experience allows them to keep honing their craft, particularly when it comes to programming hearing technology and helping patients get the most out of their hearing.

👂 20 years of experience. One goal: helping you reach your true hearing potential.

🍂 Hello September! 👂

Did you know? Your two ears work together to help your brain understand speech and work out where sounds are coming from, especially when there’s background noise.

That’s why busy places like restaurants, family gatherings and social events can sometimes be challenging if your hearing has changed.

👂 Finding conversations harder to follow? It might be time for a hearing check.

Your hearing may be affecting more than your ability to hear.

When hearing becomes difficult, your brain has to work harder to follow conversations, concentrate and fill in the gaps.

This can leave you feeling mentally tired and sometimes people mistake this for their memory not being as sharp as it used to be.

That’s why we encourage regular hearing checks, particularly if you’re over 50 or have any concerns about your hearing.

A hearing check is relaxed, informative and nothing to worry about.

Looking after your hearing is part of looking after your overall wellbeing. ❤️
