As many of my longterm customers know, I had to close the doors last year due to personal circumstances, I have since made the very difficult decision, after 26 years, to close the shop & online business permanently. Hi everyone, I wanted to take this opportunity of letting you have an update on me personally and the Bayside Marine business.

Some of you will know that I will have to take quite a break shortly due to a planned operation. This is on top of the other two operations I've had recently. All being well this is the last, but it will put me out of action for 2 to 3 months. This combined with losing two of my main team from the business in the New Year has caused me to rethink my plans going forward.

I have run the business for 25 years this year and after much deliberation I have decided to take a permanent break from the business and readdress my work life balance and things I'd like to do after I recover.
With this in mind, and with a heavy heart I am going to sell the business if possible. It is time for someone with the drive and ambition to take the business on and grow it.

Bayside has a successful and profitable physical shop side and an online business. It would be great to keep the shop in Brixham to serve all the loyal customers I've laughed with, cried with, and grown up with over 25 years. I will miss it.

It is definitely the right time for me personally and professionally to hand the baton over to someone else. Consequently, I am now entertaining offers for the Chandlery and would welcome a conversation with any interested parties looking to purchase the business.
