SCIENCE WORKTOPS

An absolute gem of a product to have in our shop ATM.

Old school science desks are usually made from Iroko (hardwood) or something similar. These look to be around 1980ish. Absolutely full of character and in really great condition (minus the gum of course 🫪)

They have a beautiful patina on the top where hundreds of school kids have etched out markings over the years. The underside is smoother and less characterful but none the less gorgeous!

The worktops are 750mm wide and 25mm thick. We have a range of lengths and these are priced at £64.95/metre.

Octagonal tops are so cool! We have 5 all together (2 150cm and 3@ 180cm). These are not priced yet because we want to process them a bit more.

Keep an eye out for before and after pics! These would be so cool as a game table or just a standard dining table.

It's finally happened!

We didn't think we would ever get these boards back but we are very happy to say that after almost 3 years, our supplier is back in business.

For those of you who've followed us for a while, you may have seen David's face pop up from time to time here and in our shop. David's land in Shropshire has an abundance of Western Hemlock which he has spent the last few decades felling, milling and delivering to us. Unfortunately his mill broke down and he was unable to mill any new timber. It took him a little while but his ingenuity didn't fail him and now we are back in business!!!

The first picture shows a behemoth tree that he felled a few weeks ago which will be on its way to us in the not so distant future (planked, of course).

We currently have a good stock of boards so why not pop in and take a look!

Not everyone and everything is built for the heater.

Sedums on the other hand are a super force when it comes to surviving and even thriving in the summer heat. Lots of different species to choose from and great for green roofs!
