After 8 years of creativity, collaboration, community, and countless moments in between, Arts Mansion officially closes its doors this month.

What lived inside the space was always much bigger than the building itself ✨

From workshops, performances and exhibitions to conversations, experiments, friendships and late-night ideas, Arts Mansion became part of Bristol’s creative story because of the people who brought it to life.

This video was originally projected during the Arts Mansion Community Day on May 4th, marking the final day of ASLS in the space.

Thank you to every artist, organiser, visitor, collaborator and community member who made the space what it was.

As one chapter closes, the work continues across Artspace Lifespace, Sparks Bristol, The Island and the wider creative communities we continue to build with 💛

As we're handing over to Bristol Historic Buildings Trust we're moving Purr Pod by artist Paige Tashner ( ) to a new forever home.

After eight years of creativity, collaboration and cultural programming, Artspace Lifespace are handing back the keys to Ashton Court Mansion for some much needed TLC.⁠
May 4th will be the final opportunity to experience the Arts Mansion in its current form. All are invited to be part of this closing chapter, enjoy some live music, learn about the history of the building and try out some circus skills!⁠

Since taking on the building in 2018 Artspace Lifespace has opened the doors for affordable rehearsals, exhibitions, workshops, performances, community celebrations, music performances and unforgettable late-night gatherings. Fulfilling their now 20 year long mission of turning vacant properties into thriving creative spaces while keeping the building cared for and open to the public as decisions were made about a longer term future for the mansion.⁠
