Celebrating A Very Special Double Birthday.
On 23 October 1945, Joseph Cyril Bamford celebrated the birth of his son Anthony, now Lord Bamford. Remarkably, it was also the very day he founded JCB, beginning a family and business story that would go on to become one of Britain's greatest manufacturing success stories.
Today, 81 years later, JCB and Lord Bamford share a birthday and a remarkable family history.
From a small garage in Uttoxeter to a business recognised around the world, JCB's history is full of extraordinary achievements, engineering innovation and the determination to keep moving forward.
As the appointed JCB Dealer for South West England and South Wales, we are incredibly proud to represent a British manufacturer with such a rich history. It's a privilege to be associated with a brand that has achieved so much, while continuing to invest in British manufacturing, its people and the next generation of engineering.

Versatility From The Moment Of Collection.
These photographs, taken during the collection of two new JCB 3T-2 Swivel Tip Dumpers from our Swindon Depot by Sam Peet Groundworks Ltd, demonstrate just how much versatility is built into these compact machines.
Based in Oxfordshire, Sam Peet Groundworks & Earthmoving Ltd is an established, second generation business undertaking substantial Groundworks, Earthmoving, Site Preparation and Demolition projects across Oxfordshire and the Cotswolds. With an extensive machinery fleet and specialist transport equipment, they have the resources and expertise to manage demanding projects across multiple sites.
For a business operating at this level, machinery selection matters. Their investment in two JCB 3T-2 Swivel Tip Dumpers is a welcome endorsement of the model's suitability for the varied demands of professional Groundworks operations.
And the collection photographs illustrate why.
Loaded onto a trailer, these Dumpers can be transported efficiently between projects, with folding ROPS frames reducing transport height. The close up picture of the swivel skip demonstrates another practical advantage, allowing Operators to discharge the 3T payload to either side, placing material accurately into trenches or alongside excavations without constantly repositioning the Dumper. Also ease of manoeuvre around tight sites is an easier feet.
Compact dimensions, hydrostatic four wheel drive and Stage V power complete a Dumper designed by JCB innovation to work hard across a wide range of site conditions.

Based near Trowbridge in Wiltshire, Ashton Farms Ltd is a well established, family run Agricultural Contracting business with a longstanding history in farming. Their new JCB 220X Tracked Excavator brings some serious capability to the fleet. From Land Drainage and Ditching to Pond Construction, Ground Works and large scale Earthmoving, the JCB 220X is particularly well suited to the varied demands of Agricultural Contracting.

Our Sales Director Craig Scanlan worked with Ashton Farm to bring the JCB 220X into their business, replacing their previous competitor machine with a JCB excavator backed by our local Sales and Aftermarket support.

Powered by JCB's 129kW (173hp) Stage V DIESELMAX engine, the JCB 220X combines impressive digging performance with refined hydraulic control. With a maximum digging depth of 6.69m, bucket capacity of up to 1.25m³ and powerful breakout forces, it is engineered to tackle substantial excavation projects.

The spacious JCB CommandPlus cab, excellent visibility and smooth proportional controls are equally important, particularly for Operators spending long days working across agricultural sites.

The new JCB 220X was PDI'd and serviced by our Swindon Depot Team, ensuring it was fully prepared and ready to get to work.

Not Every JCB Gets To Call An Island Home!
And there can't be many more extraordinary destinations for a new JCB 3CX Plus!
Rising from the waters of Mount’s Bay in Cornwall, the iconic St Michael's Mount is a place steeped in history, surrounded by breathtaking scenery and home to a small island community.
We're delighted that the Mount has chosen a new JCB 3CX Plus to support the many practical demands of island life. From everyday duties and groundworks projects to tidal maintenance around the Mount, the versatility of the JCB Backhoe makes it a wonderful all round machine for this rather unique working environment.
And judging by the big thumbs up from islander Josh Sedgeman, its arrival has certainly been well received!
For those who haven't experienced St Michael's Mount, it really is somewhere special to visit throughout the seasons. At low tide, an ancient cobbled causeway emerges from the sea, inviting visitors to make the crossing on foot. As the tide rises, the causeway disappears beneath the water and boats take over, adding to the magic of this remarkable island, with its medieval castle, historic village and beautiful gardens.
A lovely customer for our Cornwall Territory Sales Manager Paul Butcher backed by the support of our fabulous team at our Bodmin depot, who are on hand to provide the local JCB genuine parts, servicing and technical expertise that will help keep the Mount's newest arrival hard at work.
A very special machine handover, and one that will play an important part in caring for this treasured Cornish landmark for the generations of visitors who come to enjoy it.
