Quick dress with the grinder and then it's off to New Zealand for Friday!

Apologies the page hasn't shared much. My business has expanded into a wider field over the last year, combined with a broken foot and badly damaged leg from being hit off my motorcycle back in June. Flaming arc has essentially become a brand in and of its own right and I still very much love focusing on bbq components and bespoke offerings as well as wall art. I hope that 2025 will allow the business to expand to the point we can have a larger workforce to help give a great and personal service with good turnaround times!

It's still very much a challenging time for small businesses but you have to hope and be strategic to sustain it despite outside forces!

Hope you've all had a great year and thank you all for your custom and your understanding if there have been any issues, we always want customers to be happy and pleased with the works we've undertaken!

Can anyone tell me why on earth DPD and Shopify (the online Webstore) can legally get away with not honouring an insured parcels value without the business selling the product telling them what profit margins are in the product? As a small business I can assure you I'm not making much of a living from this venture, especially when their couriers go out of their way to damage and even break thick solid plates of steel that are ironically shipped with "fragile" stickers in the hope it would motivate the handlers to not treat it like a scene from ace ventura.

I've been told that because my cost of goods document doesn't tell them how much profit I make on a plancha they will not pay any money for them damaging the product whilst it was in their care.

Truly disgusting behaviour on their part. I'd be surprised if it's legal for them to even demand such information. A profit margin has no bearing on the cost of the product, I'm not trying to claim for the retail value, just the cost of manufacturing and finishing time, which is information I provided.

If anyones savvy to be able to tag either company (when I've tried neither appear) please do.
