Kempower and APM Terminals have signed a global framework agreement to accelerate the deployment of DC fast-charging infrastructure across APM Terminals' international container terminal network.
The three-year agreement will support the electrification of container handling equipment as APM Terminals continues its journey towards lower-emission, more sustainable port operations.
Pilot projects are already underway in Mexico, Morocco and Peru, where the first battery-electric container handling vehicles are being introduced as part of wider terminal electrification programmes.
