£184.7 million.

Invested right here in Bridgnorth since 2001.

That's not just a number — it's new equipment, new skills, new jobs and a commitment to our town and community.

This week we welcomed the judges for the Shropshire Chamber Business Awards and we loved having the opportunity to show them around.

There's so much you can say in an award application, but when you're going for Company of the Year, we honestly believe there's nothing quite like being able to show what we do here and the scale on which we do it.

We gave our buggy the full Shropshire flag treatment for the occasion and one of the highlights was hearing how impressed the judges were to learn that generations of families continue to work side by side here – something that has become increasingly rare in modern manufacturing, and something we're really proud of.

Next we're swapping our hard hats and hi-vis for black ties and evening gowns to celebrate with all the other finalists on 19 June. We're keeping our fingers crossed but know we're up against some stiff competition, with Aviramp, Fowler & Gilbert, Kraft Heinz, Pave Aways Ltd, Riverside Cabins and Shropshire Festivals in the running. There really are some incredible businesses in Shropshire!

⏰ There's still time to apply for a Bridgnorth Aluminium Community Fund grant of up to £5,000 but you need to be quick.

We launched the fund, in partnership with Shropshire Community Foundation, to support charities and community organisations tackling rural isolation across Shropshire – and the application window closes on Monday (25 May 2026).

If your organisation supports older people, young people, those in rural communities or individuals facing barriers to accessing services, we'd love to hear from you.

'Large aluminium toilet roll'. 🤣

As part of the BBC's feature, Factory Settings, Adrian Musgrave spoke to Adam Green to explain what we do here at Bridgnorth Aluminium. And trust us, it's a lot more than that!

After 21 years with us, Adrian knows a thing or two about aluminium so find out why, if you read a newspaper or magazine, there's a good chance there's a Bridgnorth Aluminium connection and more at 2h 24m in 👉 https://www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/m002vh42

📻 Did you catch us on the airwaves last week?

We were on Factory Settings, a regular BBC Radio feature where host Adam Green takes a look at what goes on in factories across Shropshire.

And we certainly made an impression by starting his visit with a trip in a Bridgnorth Aluminium buggy – purchased from Birmingham Airport – which is very handy to have to help visitors travel around our 66-acre site!

You can listen in here at 2h 23m to hear the first episode: https://www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/m002vh41

We're incredibly proud to be supporting Cheer Athletics Telford, a brilliant local cheerleading team doing amazing things right here in Shropshire! 🎊

The team has recently competed in the World and Summit Cheer Athletics Dance in Florida where they blew the competition away while sporting their sponsored t-shirts. 🇺🇸

As well as taking the States by storm, the team also featured on this year's series of Britain's Got Talent, earning an incredible four yeses from the judges at their audition. ⭐️

🔥 🚒 Our partnership with Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service is something we’re really proud of, so we were pleased to be able to welcome back the Bridgnorth fire crew to put our new training rig through its paces.

Two teams ran through some lifelike drills – working under breathing apparatus, navigating confined spaces to extract casualties and even responding to a firefighter-down scenario, complete with CPR.

There are not many places our fire crews can get to train in scenarios like this, so we’re glad we can help out a team that’s there to help our community.

What an absolute pleasure to welcome Adam Green and the BBC Radio Shropshire team to Bridgnorth this week.

We were able to chat about all things aluminium, our community fund to support projects that tackle loneliness and rural isolation across Shropshire (more about that here: https://bridgnorthaluminium.co.uk/bridgnorth-aluminium-launches-15000-community-fund/news/), our Metal Milers running club and lots more.
