We've welcomed new general manager Ilias Avgerinos and head of HR Nikolina Austin to our senior leadership team as we target further growth both in the UK and internationally.

After a transformational two years that has seen us return to 24/7 production and capitalise on new investments in the cast house and finishing lines, there are still significant opportunities for growth in new markets such as electrification, energy and defence, where our flexibility and technical expertise can add real value.

We've cut our water consumption by 60% since 2018. For a manufacturing process that depends heavily on water for cooling, that's a serious achievement.

To mark 25 years as part of the Viohalco Group, we've launched a £15,000 community fund with Shropshire Community Foundation to support charities and community organisations tackling rural isolation across the county. We'll be sharing details of the recipients soon so watch this space. 👀

And we’ve also committed a further £10,000 to other community groups and causes so that's £25,000 to celebrate 25 years!

Our internal learning and development department currently runs 111 courses for employees covering everything from safety to engineering to sustainability.

By the banks of the River Severn, there is a Bridgnorth community garden created in memory of Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip.

We funded the garden and its ongoing upkeep to create a peaceful, educational space for the whole town to enjoy.

Because things matter beyond the factory gates.

Over 25 years, engineers and specialists from Elval have worked alongside our Bridgnorth team — some for extended periods, others on knowledge-transfer visits. Greek directors have sat on our board alongside British and European colleagues. A true partnership across cultures and borders.

Congratulations to all the A-Level, BTEC and T-Level students who received their results this morning, with many now weighing up what comes next. 👏

Elliott Lynch, Learning & Development Business Partner at Bridgnorth Aluminium, joined BBC Radio Shropshire's breakfast programme to talk about the opportunities manufacturing can offer.

We’re a strong advocate for apprenticeships, currently supporting eight, with three more roles being recruited for. And we work closely with local schools and colleges to engage young people looking at explore a career in our industry.

Congratulations to Ellie Pjetri who has been shortlisted in the business, legal & finance apprentice of the year category at the Shropshire and Telford & Wrekin Apprenticeship Awards.

Ellie has made a huge impact since joining Bridgnorth Aluminium and we're really proud she has been recognised.

Here's what her mentor Faye Hopkins had to say.

“Ellie has exceeded expectations throughout her apprenticeship and has quickly become a valued and trusted member of our HR team,

“She consistently delivers high-quality work with minimal supervision, balancing a demanding workload alongside her apprenticeship while always meeting deadlines and maintaining exceptional reliability.

"She has willingly taken on responsibilities beyond those typically expected of an apprentice, including independently conducting exit interviews, managing key aspects of our absence process, supporting recruitment activities and leading improvements to our onboarding experience.

“Her initiative has resulted in practical improvements to HR processes, including enhanced induction tracking, more efficient pre-employment screening and the development of valuable management information reports.

"I have no doubt that Ellie has the capability, ambition and potential to enjoy a highly successful career.”
