In this video, our engineer is testing an AC drive using our load-testing rig, which simulates production conditions to ensure the drive is functioning correctly, operating at peak performance, and capable of running under load - up to manufacturers specification.

Today, Claudio, one of our electronic engineers, is working on a unique repair job for a faulty commercial whirlpool bath pump sent in by one of our customers in the hospitality sector.

This vital system manages chemical throughput, keeping the whirlpool bath in top condition for guests. However, relay and power supply faults had caused the board to fail.

Rather than replacing it, Claudio is diagnosing the issue and replacing faulty relays and power supplies to restore functionality.

Once repairs are complete, we will test the board to ensure it’s fully operational before returning it to our customer, reducing downtime and saving money!

Recently, one of our customers in the engineering and manufacturing sector sent us a faulty LCD monitor that was causing downtime in their operations due to a blank screen.

Our skilled electronic engineer Lee jumped in to help with the repair. After inspection, he suspected that the connectivity between the GPU and the PCB was the issue, most likely caused by dry or corrosive joints.

Since we specialise in repairing integrated circuits (ICs) with GPUs and CPUs, we know faults like this are common with industrial monitors. Lee decided to use our advanced BGA (Ball Grid Array) machine to reball the GPU and its PCB, replacing the solder ball joints that connect the chip to the board.

Process Overview:

✔️ Component Removal:
Lee used the BGA machine to safely separate the GPU from the PCB.

✔️ Cleaning & Preparation:
He removed old solder, cleaned the surfaces, and applied flux to the PCB to ensure optimal adhesion and connectivity.

✔️ Reattachment:
Lee precisely realigned and resoldered the GPU onto the PCB using our BGA machine, creating a stronger and more reliable connection to repair the fault.
