All hands on deck today installing this beautiful bookmatched veined island — and what a stunning centrepiece it is! The largest island we’ve completed to date, and it truly makes a statement.

With the prep area positioned at one end and the entertaining side flowing into the open-plan living space, the seating area perfectly complements the scale of this showpiece. The OG profile detail adds that extra layer of interest and luxury.

When a client wants the biggest island

we’ve ever done but is worried about visible joins, we often suggest book-matched quartz.

Book matching is where two slabs are cut and placed side by side so the veining is mirrored, creating a symmetrical pattern that looks like an open book. The result is a seamless, high-impact feature that turns the island into a true centrepiece.

This particular island measures an incredible 6m long x 1.5m wide — a real statement piece. It’s now heading to the next stage on our CNC machine, where we’ll be adding a beautiful OG profile to the edge for that extra touch of detail and elegance.
