Our industry runs on people. Engineers on site in all weathers. Teams working to tight connection deadlines. Long days, long drives, a lot of time away from home.

Pressure like that doesn’t always get talked about. This year’s World Mental Health Day theme, “Lived Experiences Heard: Real Voices, Real Change”, is a good prompt to change that.

At eSmart Networks, our Wellbeing Champions make sure there’s always someone to talk to, whether you’re in the office or out in the field. We don’t save these conversations for one day a year.

Yesterday, colleagues across our Braintree office got together for our annual Macmillan Coffee Morning, and we managed to raise over £450 for Macmillan Cancer Support! 🍰

A big thank you to all our bakers. There were lots of cakes, cookies and treats to choose from, and it's safe to say they didn't last long.

Every donation will help Macmillan keep supporting people living with cancer and their families, so thank you to everyone who donated, baked or popped by for a slice.

Today, Brian Moorhead, our Grid Solutions Director, spoke at the Sheds UK Conference at The Oval.

His session looked at grid capacity constraints and what they mean for industrial and logistics developers. Power is now one of the biggest risks to programme and viability on large sheds schemes.
