An opportunity has become available to join our team of drivers.

R Bunton Ltd is a family run business established since 1970; we have years of experience and knowledge with the construction industry. We provide many services including plant and machinery hire, construction and civil engineering, excavation contractors, haulage services and aggregate suppliers.

The main function of this role is to cover driving duties of employees on annual leave ensuring continuous operation of the companies fleet of HGV’s. Vehicles will mainly include 8-wheeler tipper trucks, road sweepers and small goods vehicles completing duties at various locations in a safe and complaint manner; adhering to traffic regulations, industry standards and road safety. Please note this is a full time position.

You will also need to be capable of managing your own driving and working time, maintaining a safe vehicle through completing comprehensive checks and reporting any defects; completing all necessary paperwork including WTD timesheets, daily defect sheets, daily running sheets, delivery tickets and Waste Transfer Notes in line with legislation; whilst having a good geographical knowledge of the Yorkshire region.

To apply for this position, we expect you to be compliant with drivers’ hours and tachograph regulations; hold a Cat C (HGV Class 2) licence, Driver Qualification Card (DCPC), digital tachograph card, ideally hold a CITB Health, Safety & Environment CSCS card. A clean licence would be preferred, but up to 6 points will be considered dependant on endorsements and circumstances.

We are looking for someone who is reliable, has a strong work ethic, and is a good team member with excellent communication skills. As an ambassador for the company, you will be expected to demonstrate a professional attitude both on the public highway and sites.

5 days per week (optional Saturday morning)

Sue Ryder Manorlands Hospice Bronte Pub Walk

After recently sponsoring and taking part in the Wharfedale Walk - which was a fantastic day out - we enjoyed it that much that we’ve decided to sign up for the Haworth walk too, all in support of Sue Ryder Manorlands Hospice! 🍻💙

The Bronte Pub Walk is a 10 mile walk in beautiful Bronte country with eight lovely country inns en route.

Starting in Haworth, there are 8 refreshment points on route that takes you through Haworth, Stanbury and Oakworth.

Bring the whole family and enjoy a beautiful walk in the Bronte country with the option to experience the many lovely pubs on the route.
