We’ve had a fantastic two days at the Cadent National Distribution Centre Open Day in Birmingham.
The event gave suppliers like SVI the opportunity to showcase the products we currently supply to Cadent, while helping Engineers and colleagues from across the wider business build a stronger understanding of the solutions available to them. It also created valuable opportunities for open conversations, product demonstrations, and face to face collaboration with the people who use and specify these products every day.
Alongside the products we already supply to Cadent, we were pleased to introduce some of our latest innovations, including Renset®. Designed to support organisations working towards Net Zero targets in line with the UK Government’s 2050 objectives, Renset® is a high performance, battery powered energy solution built for the demands of the utilities and construction sectors.
Delivering a rated output of 5,000 W and a peak output of 10,000 W at both 110 VAC and 230 VAC (50/60 Hz), Renset® provides reliable, continuous power in both remote and urban environments without relying on fossil fuels. Its modular LiFePO4 battery system allows batteries to be swapped on site, helping to reduce downtime, remove the need for diesel or petrol refuelling, and lower greenhouse gas emissions.
Lightweight, compact, and robust, Renset® offers a practical and scalable route to cleaner energy without compromising performance. As the sole distributor for the UK and Ireland, SVI is proud to partner with Renset® in supporting businesses as they transition towards a more sustainable future.
We also showcased CoilControl, a new device designed to make coiled pipe handling safer and more efficient. Compatible with any pipe coil trailer, CoilControl can be set up in under five minutes and handles a full range of HD and MD coiled PE pipe from 63 mm to 180 mm.
During the event, we also had the opportunity to tour the NDC. Members of our Customer Service, QHSE and Warehouse teams joined us for the day, gaining valuable insight into how our products are distributed throughout Cadent’s network.
