Today’s job was a little different — and one of the most rewarding we’ve had in a long time. A trip down memory lane working on smaller low powered CO2 lasers.

We spent part of the day helping a local elderly gentleman get his hobby Mantech laser back up and running. No call-out fee, no invoice — just a favour to help someone keep doing what he loves.

His machine had been sitting idle after a fault stopped him using it. After some fault-finding, cleaning, and adjustments, it was cutting again. Seeing the excitement on his face when it fired back into life reminded us why we do what we do.

Being a local business isn’t just about sales and service contracts — it’s about people, community, and sometimes lending a hand where it’s needed.

…although we did accept a very nice bottle of whisky for our troubles, which we definitely won’t complain about 😉

Another busy run-up to Christmas with a big job at JCB working with JHS Laser & TruServe Laser, decommissioning a Messer plasma for relocation summer 2026. We thought we were finally finished for the year until a quick 2 day job at Linwood Raker came in, installing 4 new double roll material stands to their existing paper sheeting machine.

That really is a wrap now!

After another hectic week keeping on top of laser breakdowns, we still managed to squeeze in the decommissioning of this 2008 5kW TruLaser 5030 L16 over the weekend. 💪⚡️

No matter how busy the schedule gets, we make sure every machine gets the attention it deserves. On to the next one! 👊

Now the big question is… what brand-new laser will take its place? 🤔

No bank holiday rest for us. We spent the weekend out on site at Nottingham based paper company, Linwood Raker, installing 4 pairs of material stands on this paper sheeter. Keeping things rolling, literally! Proud to support the paper industry with reliable engineering solutions.
