Transforming underused sites into green community spaces. 🏡

IPM has collaborated with and to deliver a new Wildlife Pocket Park in East London. Turning a previously neglected brownfield site on the banks of the River Lea into a vibrant ecological garden.

🌼The design focuses on establishing new wildflower meadows and diverse planting beds, including RHS-recommended plants for pollinator species.

🐝 Ecological features such as bee posts and bug hotels have also been installed, helping to create an important wildlife pocket within the new park.

This new garden will serve the local community, with Cody Dock offering therapeutic gardening sessions that will help maintain and nurture the garden. 💚

Well done to everyone involved for bringing this project to life!

We all look forward to seeing this wildlife park bloom in the upcoming weeks as we enter the Spring and Summer months. 🌷🪻

✨ Thank you to the team at Apex Reading for inviting us to host an edible hanging basket workshop on site for you.

It was a hands-on session, with everyone getting involved to create their own baskets ready for the summer months.

From fresh mint for mojitos to strawberries for a classic Pimm’s, and even chive blossoms for something a little different, the results looked fantastic. 🌿🌿

These sessions are a great way to bring people together, create something practical, and add a seasonal feature to the space.

💚 A big thank you to everyone who took part. It was great to see such a strong turnout and plenty of creativity on display.

Long Service Awards!

Our CEO, Mark Noakes, had the pleasure to present a 15 year service award to two of our senior groundsmen, Tom Rowley and Shaun Atkinson.

Tom and Shaun have been ever present with IPM Facilities Limited and were the two founding members of staff when we launched our landscape division.

Their loyalty, hard work and dedication to the company and our clients is a rare commodity these days. Between them they have won many internal awards from "going the extra mile" to "excellence in Health & Safety" and in all their years with IPM Facilities, we have never had a grumble from either. They are stars!

They had lunch together and reminisced about the past and looked ahead to the future.

Mark says "I personally wanted to thank them for everything they have achieved and for the unswerving loyalty to IPM. Thanks guys, you are both awesome and I cannot thank you enough for your 15 years of dedicated service".

Green Apple Awards

We are pleased and proud to have been awarded not only one but three Green Apple Awards!

The Green Apple Awards are an annual international campaign run by The Green Organisation, an independent non-profit environmental group, to recognize, reward, and promote environmental best practice around the world. They highlight companies and organizations that show outstanding environmental achievements.

We partnered with and this year and won Green Apples in three categories:

1. Habitat & Wildlife Projects (encouraging new flora and fauna to become established at the park, including bee management for pollination).

2. Biodiversity and Habitat Management (the awards recognised the park's efforts in supporting biodiversity and conserving natural habitats)

3. Sustainable Waste Management (for diverting all waste, including food waste from landfill and achieving high recycling rates).

We are delighted to share the winners of our latest Going the Extra Mile Awards.

Nick Jacobs was nominated by our senior team for his exceptional professionalism in addressing challenges, showcasing his deep understanding of both job requirements and client needs.

And Guy Stocker has been instrumental in elevating standards across Solent Business Park. We have received emails from our client praising the site’s presentation, and several members of the public have approached team members to comment on how much better the park looks.

IPM & ARC's New Community Garden

At IPM we are fortunate to work with some truly aspirational clients, and occasionally we are able to support them on schemes that provide a real purpose, and benefit for so many others.

The BLAP community hub is an essential volunteer led community centre providing support to the Blackbird Leys residents.

When ARC Oxford got in touch asking if we could help improve their landscape, we didn't hesitate in sending our very own designer and in house Landscape Architect to come up with a proposal to provide raised beds for vegetable gardening, and pollinator friendly planting and a nature area for the children to engage with wider biodiversity.

On the day IPM provided all of the required hand tools and with the generous help of some of our fantastic suppliers and plenty of labour from the wonderful Oxford Campus team and residents, we created a space that can be enjoyed for many years and will provide a valuable refuge for safe play and learning.

Well done to all the IPM team, ARC Oxford team and suppliers who made the new garden come to life.
