Velden Engineering recently completed the Leading Digital Transformation (LDT) programme, which is part of the Made Smarter North West Adoption initiative.
The programme, aims to equip SME's with the strategies and skills to adopt 'cutting-edge' digital technologies.
The programme was delivered over three months with Manchester Metropolitan University, using face-to-face workshops, online webinars, case studies to see technology in action, and a site visit to PrintCity, Manchester Met’s 3D additive and digital manufacturing centre.
Amy Kitchen, Director at Velden Engineering, and Alison Gordon, Company Secretary, both completed the programme.
Ms Kitchen said: "Our ambition is to become a true Industry 4.0 Smart Factory.
"In order to achieve that dream we need to continue to evolve to grow.
"The leadership programme has helped us define our vision, strategy and the steps to success which inspire stakeholders to buy into this change."
