What a blast we had at MindFest! yesterday 🤯

From gazing up at the stars to testing your brain with philosophical thoughts and designing your own 17th century fashion statements, we're so incredibly grateful to all of our visitors who stepped into the mind of Margaret Cavendish for a day, with the help and endless creativity of local practitioners and artists.

Thank you to all of the support that allowed us to ignite Margaret's ideas including our incredible English Heritage staff and volunteers, all of our event participants and artists and to the local residents and organisations in Bolsover who embrace their Castle and its stories with pride.

This is just the beginning of bringing Margaret's story to life at Bolsover thanks to generous support from The National Lottery Heritage Fund. Watch this space 👀

We’re delighted to share that our Disabled Access Viewing Area at The Rec is now fully complete! 🙌

With the railings and steps finished, the space is ready to be enjoyed by everyone, making The Rec more inclusive and accessible for our community.

A huge thank you to Rich and his team for all their hard work and dedication on this project, along with the Parish Council for their continued support.

We’d also like to extend our gratitude to NAL Plant Hire for sponsoring a digger, dumper, and stone for the area, and to Markovitz for providing the timber and parts for the shutters.

Projects like this simply wouldn’t be possible without the support of such generous partners, thank you all! 💙
