Following an incident this morning, and a few recent near misses- can I please ask that nobody encourages the dogs over for a fuss when they’re on top of the boat. Some lovely people did just this today, whilst I was setting a lock, and Teddy fell from the cabin top and ended up between the boat and the bank. There have been multiple occasions when people have encouraged the dogs over for a fuss, without asking, which results in them standing on the edge of the handrail, which is precarious. If the boat is in gear, there is a lot of added risk.

I’ve trained them as best I can to be calm, and mind their own, and left to their own devices, they are pretty safe and settle on their bed when tethered. I know they’re cute as anything, but I would like them to stay in one piece.
