It can only mean one thing... one or maybe two kits are almost ready for releasing at the Llangollen Garden Railway Festival!

One of the kits is dainty, but will be quite the treat for you to build!

Our Maenofferen Slab Wagons are still on special offer on the website. Only £5.00 each! I'm sure they must be one of, if not the cheapest 16mm scale wagon kit available!

Here's an old photo from the blacksmiths at Maenofferen, where the wagons were repaired. The carpenter's shop was the other side of the wall to the tee slot table, where the woodwork would have been repaired and replaced.

We were busy doing the final touches to the kits we will be releasing at Llangollen Garden Railway Festival and realised I was missing a few key dimensions. A quick text and we were on our way down to Minffordd to get some dimensions and photographs that we needed.

And as a bonus, a quick stop in Allports Fish & Chips in Porthmadog for dinner!

Whilst rummaging and sorting the stock room, we found a box of Maenofferen Slab Wagon kits that had been made and forgotten about… Since the Llangollen Garden Railway Festival is coming up this next Saturday, we thought we’d set a special offer on the website.

Between now and Sunday the 7th of June, there is a sale on the slab wagon kits. They’re £5.00 each.

The wagon was designed from measurements and photographs obtained from a surviving wagon that lay hidden in the Mill at Maenofferen (Pictured).

A busy day at the workshop and a request for help...

The Packing Pixie has been busy getting some new stock shelves built, as well as a new (to us!) Unit to use as a packing area. Loads of room for more kits now!

We also had a delivery of wheels from Peterbinnie.com and our parts bins are not so empty anymore!

Now for a couple of requests. We have a digital photo frame on our stand and for the Llangollen show we'd love to display some photos of our kits built by our customers. If you have any photos, we'd greatly appreciate if you could send them to us.

Finally, we use these Lidl (Silvercrest) telescopic spice racks to display our kits on the stand. We've been trying to find more, but are struggling to find any. I'm sure that they're made in a factory somewhere and Lidl just slap a label on them. So, if you think you know where we can find some more, there's a free kit to the person who can point us in the right direction!

***Back in stock*** We're working hard to replenish our stock of kits after last weekend. The Porthmadog Harbour Flat Wagon sold out completely over the weekend, but we have another 6 available on the website now. It's a lovely little wagon, and comes with CNC machined brass bearings, steel axles, a 3D printed base, resin 3D printed axle boxes, Binnie wheels, a 1.5mm wood top and a pair of coupling pins.

If you see a product marked as 'backorder', don't let this put you off. We are actively cutting and packing kits and will naturally prioritise orders over rebuilding our stock. With the exception of the Peterbinnie.com wheels, we produce all parts ourselves or keep in stock of the detailing pins etc so there isn't anything we can't put together at short notice.
