Thanks you to everyone who came over yesterday and had a chat or purchased some of our products. It's always great to hear from you all. I can never get used to the kind words and compliments people have about our kits!

It was back to the grind for me today, working at the day job, whilst the Packing Pixie was doing a stock take of the kits and bits we need to replace for the Yorkshire Garden Railway Show next month.

After work, I did a emergency repair for a local car restorer. A tap had been snapped in a Singer flywheel and the remains needed taking out. Some fishing around with scribers, pliers and a 6mm carbide milling cutter spinning at a few thousand RPM persuaded the tap to come out!

Some custom wheelsets have been made today, for a customer to pick up tomorrow. A set of 32mm Gauge wheels to fit the Accucraft Pickering Carriages.

** NEW PRODUCT**
H Jones Engineering are pleased to announce the release of our latest kit. This time, we’re back at the NWNGR, with the All Third Cleminson Carriage. This carriage was one of three delivered to the North Wales Narrow Gauge Railway in 1877, built by the Gloucester Wagon Company Ltd. Three similar carriages were built, two of which were braked vehicles (Hint hint) and the last one was an all third. This kit represents the all third version. It is difficult to pin down the exact numbers these carriages carried, but it is thought that the all third carriage was numbered 8 and 11 for the majority of its existence.
By the time the WHR was formed, the Cleminson carriages were either scrapped or out of use. Half of one of the carriages, it is unknown which one, was used in Dinas yard as a shed until at least 1934, before eventually being scrapped. None of these vehicles survive today.
The kits are similar to our very popular NWNGR Cleminson Coal Wagon, where a 3D Printed underframe mimics the Cleminson design and a laser cut plywood body. It has taken several years of development to enable us to produce a kit that is easy to assemble and runs reliably.
It is currently on pre-order, we are expecting to start shipping these kits in the week or two after the Llanfair Garden Railway Show.

The kits do come with a roof and additional etching details on the interior!

With the Llanfair Garden Railway Show less than a week away, pre-orders for the show are open on the website. When placing the order, select the "Collect in Person" option and your order will be ready to collect at the show.

Over the next couple of shows, we have some kits that we are hoping to be ready for releasing, one of which has been a slow burning project for a good number of years. We've decided to wet your appetites a bit with a special offer on the website!

Here's an old photo from the blacksmiths at Maenofferen, where the wagons were repaired. The carpenter's shop was the other side of the wall to the tee slot table, where the woodwork would have been repaired and replaced.
