This customer purchased some concrete troughs from Low Grange Quarry Limited and came to us to supply a bespoke frame and feed rail to finish the job off perfectly. 🐄🔩

Due to a planned operation for a member of staff we are looking for a self employed welder/fabricator to help us out for around 4 weeks.

Start date would be late October and would be required for around 4 weeks. Working location will be Barnard Castle.

WEEK 1 OF THE GOOLE RH30 PROJECT… AND WHAT A WEEK! 🔥💪

Safe to say, we’ve absolutely smashed it! 🤝

We’ve got way more done than we could’ve expected in the first week, with just the gates to hang next week and a couple of panels around the loading dock left to fit. 🏗️🔩

From getting all the posts in, lined and levelled, to flying through the panels and getting the project really taking shape — it’s been a proper graft, but the progress has been mega! 👌

And it’s not all been work… 👀😂

We’ve found an absolute gem of an accommodation spot just outside South Cave, and some seriously good food spots in Howden 🍔🍻

Fabrication is officially underway, and we can’t wait to show you what we’ve been working on. A few weeks to go… but we reckon this one’s going to be worth the wait! 👌

Getting the drawings sorted and everything checked before this one heads off to be plasma cut and folded.

A bit of time spent getting it right on the drawing makes life a whole lot easier when it comes back to the workshop! 😂⚙️

🔩 Behind the scenes: From concept to finished product! 🏗️

Ever wondered what goes into getting a product ready for manufacture? 👀

For the majority of our projects, we use TEKLA Structures, one of the leading software packages for detailing steelwork. 💻📐

In this video, you can see us finishing the detailing of a steel feed trough, with the folded plates and end pieces being added to the 3D model. 🔧

Once the product has been fully detailed, we can quickly and accurately generate:

📋 Material lists for ordering the raw steel
⚙️ Processing information for manufacturing
💾 NC data for automated machinery
📐 Detailed drawings for production

This digital workflow helps us take a product from design ➡️ detailing ➡️ manufacture, making the whole process more accurate and efficient. 🚀

A lot of work happens behind the scenes before material even reaches the workshop! 👏
