Job 1 driving dolly drawbar thruout Uk moving tractors farm machinery plant and Lorries

Driving Artic
Doing the same work as above the work is multi collection/ delivery so on the artic you will end up with a tractor on the front that you need off so you will have to take other tractors on and off the load (mentioning this as we have had a lad resign because he didn’t like doing this)
The drawbars can generally be loaded in a way so that things are not to move

Jobs are
Monday to Friday very occasionally if we are delivering equipment to a agricultural show you may need to set off on a Sunday this happened twice last year,
Saturday Run in only if something has gone wrong
Dave has driven for us for seven years and has only had to do this four times

STRICTLY NO SMOKING IN THE CAB

we move all types of farm machinery from brand new to very old we deliver to all kinds of farms from big fancy arable farms to muddy little dairy farms
Challenges of the job
You will end up trying to find places with the farmer not answering the phone (it’s all about planning and communication if you let the farmer know a ruff ETA they will be ready for you if you just rock up there’s a chance he could be working away from the farm )
you will sometimes have to chew on getting things started or winching on non runners
you will end up down narrow tracks, (again communication speak to the farmer find out if you can get in with artic, drawbars are not a problem they will go anywhere or you can drop the trailer)
you will end up having to load and unload in the rain

On the positive side
Farmers are generally very helpful willing to load and unload early or late, it’s not unusual to be offered a meal most will allow you to park overnight on the farm
You will be visiting parts of the UK other people do not have access to or Pay to Visit
You will not be hounded by the office you will be more likely to be ringing us

This is not a job for you if you need your hand holding, we will tell you were you are going but expect you to make contact with customers and keep them informed

Wages are negotiable depending on experiance but are in line of not higher than average for this type of work
