The second project car to leave Sj Autosport in 2020!
Conn’s Celica TRD sports M is a car we look after every year, Conn being in the army, everytime he’s deployed we store and look after his car whilst he’s away. We usually do general maintenance and subtle modifications but this time he opted for something more potent!
It started off as a standard Celica TRD sports M with the TRD pistons option producing 210HP
Now it has
Piper Stage 3 cams, titanium valve springs retainers and uprated valves, a brand new timing chain with tensioners, oil pump upgrade and water pump upgrade, OCV and lift bolts changed.
We then supplied and fitted a brand new rotrex C30 supercharger, apexi power FC ecu, baileys blow off valve, new pipe work, rotrex and engine oil coolers, front mount intercooler, oil catch cans, Colder set of spark plugs, 750cc injectors and a walbro 255 intank fuel pump. The car was taken to MGT racing in Coventry to have it tuned and made a very impressive 356 horsepower to the front hubs! As you can imagine it’s a very powerful car, coupled with our hybrid L*D gearbox it goes very well! We’ve just got to bring it back to SJ Autosport HQ and do the necessary works to get it through its MOT and back to Conn for this weekend! For him to properly enjoy!

Well that’s a wrap!
Simon Blair’s G6R, the first project out of the doors at SJ Autosport in 2020.
Over the last 14 months this car has so much work done with us and our working partners to make it a truely epic build.
We collected the car from Manchester and it arrived as a non runner, with a blown engine and clutch and we were given the task of fitting an unknown 4AGE 20V blacktop that we also collected.
Simon had collected lots of parts over the year to fit at the same time
We had an L*D to fit, refresh gearbox and fit the new clutch and release bearing
New mesh throttle body filters
Oil catch can with breather pipes
Complete silicone hose set
Civic half radiator and aftermarket fan kit
New timing belts with tensioners
AC delete with stretch over belt
All round brand new fully adjustable BC coilovers
Front 295mm big brake e12 caliper upgrade
Rear pads and bleed ni***es
Rear sills and jacking points welding and under sealing
New brake pipes as older pipes were corroded and leaking
New quick steering rack fitted with new pipes and pump
New rear links
Front wheel bearings
4age Ecu remove repair and wiring loom plug and play
Rear quarter panel repair and paint
Rear bumper repair and paint
Fast road wheel alignment
Full service with all filters oils and coolant replacement with new power steering fluid.

Now it’s done and delivered back to its owner it’s now time to get Paul Dudley E11 out and Nathan’s focus RS. Keep your eyes peeled for updates!

Previous owners have been forum members and the car has stacks of paperwork and all associating documents to prove mileage owners and work carried out on the car.

Fully forged engine, hybrid turbo, manual boost controller, 225 Intank fuel pump. HKS mushroom induction kit, BRD primary downpipe decat mated to a custom midsection and blitz NUR cat back. Full hardpipe intercooler and intake kit. chrome engine bay dress up kit, Recently built engine by muneeb masters at autocraft midlands with all Fluids and filters replaced including a new timing belt pulleys and tensioners. All coolant pipes replaced with silicone and all breather and vacuum hoses replaced also. New HT leads and distributor cap. Superstrut Lowering springs fitted. 18 inch Rota grid wheels. Being a late spec GT4 it has loads of sort after options, rare quad projector headlights, wrc rear spoiler raiser blocks, top mount charge cooler, good condition 4 pots brakes on the front, front bumper grille and bonnet grills with front fog lights and clear side indicators, the interior is generally in good condition, it’s had gen 7 Celica front seats fitted and at the same time has had all banana arms figure of 8s and lower arms replaced with brand new Toyota parts.
