HID Xenon bulbs have an increased brightness of 300% (over traditional halogen bulbs) adding an extra margin of safety. Instead the Xenon HID light is created by an electrical discharge between two electrodes in an air tight tiny quartz capsule filled with xenon gas, mercury and metal halide salts.
