👏 Reflecting on Siemens Transform 2026
Being invited to exhibit our demonstrator machine at Siemens Transform 2026 was a fantastic opportunity for IWM to showcase how far our control system development has progressed over the past 18 months.
Representing the Food & Beverage sector within the Advanced Machine Engineering section, alongside our development partner Underwoods, was a genuine honour.
The demonstrator machine was designed, manufactured, assembled, and programmed by the IWM team in just 12 weeks, bringing together the control system developments achieved over the last 18 months while also exploring new mechanical design principles.
The aim was not to create a one-off exhibition machine, but to develop a scalable platform that could introduce proven features across IWM’s wider product range.
One of the key focuses was demonstrating how machine data can be transformed into practical, actionable information. Real-time monitoring of water, chemical, and energy consumption, alongside Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) insights, provides customers with greater visibility of their operations and supports:
✔ Preventive maintenance
✔ Fault diagnosis
✔ Sustainability reporting
✔ Smarter production decisions
The feedback from visitors across the industry was incredibly positive, with strong interest in how these insights could help manufacturers reduce resource consumption, improve efficiency, and achieve their sustainability goals.
A huge well done to everyone involved in bringing this project to life. The collaboration between our mechanical design, manufacturing, assembly, electrical engineering, and software development teams was key to delivering such an ambitious project in a short timeframe.
The conversations and feedback from Siemens Transform 2026 will help shape the next stages of development as we continue exploring how these technologies can support improved product safety, compliance, sustainability, diagnostics, and operational performance across the IWM product range.
