Each pair of scissors will be taken apart, cleaned, sharpened to the correct angle, lubricated, set, all small parts replaced and returned as if they were new. The machinery i use for scissors is built professional hairdressing scissors and grinds with fine grit dia
mond wheel. The ride line is re-established after sharpening and will make your scissors glide through hair. Knives
The methods i use for professional kitchen knives involves a process of taking precise measurements of the factory edge and restoring the original edge. Because of the specific angle measurements only the smallest layer of mental is removed and the edge can be re-established with minimal ware to your knife. The water cooled slow speed grindstone is in harmony with the physical laws governing the steel tool – the edge does not overheat and lose its hardness. All knives are then polished and honed on a diamond treated leather strop making razor sharp edges. After sharpening, each knife is tested to ensure the blade cuts evenly from base to tip and then cleaned. I offer a mobile service, where i can come to your business and operate from there (all i need is a small space and power supply) but you can also send me your blades by post or come down to my workshop. My promise is to give you the best service available at a fair price. Any work will be taken on but a minimum sale may apply depending on distance
