Fixed Three Gas (CO, CO2, CH4) Gas Analyser for Multiple Zones

SSi MZA 6010

The MZA 6010 is an innovative fixed multi gas analyser designed to sample multiple zones or furnaces. It continuously measures Carbon Monoxide (CO), Carbon Dioxide (CO2), Methane (CH4), and Hydrogen (H2) (option). The solution is easy and quick to install and provides the benefits of continuous gas analysis from multiple sources cost-effectively versus installing a single sensor per zone or per furnace.

Continuous monitoring of furnace atmospheres improves the repeatability of a process and creates predictive maintenence parameters such as alarming from deviating or increasing CO, CO2, and CH4 values. This can provide advanced warning of furnace soot problems, radiant tube cracks, water or air leaks.

It uses SSi’s infra-red 3 gas sensor and additional analogue inputs or communications to calculate CP%, Kn*, and Kc*. CQI- 9 compliant users can fulfill the daily generator and furnace atmosphere verification automatically in conjunction with the included PC software.

Note: also available in custom engineered air conditioned Rittal Cabinet.

The SSi DPC3500 is a low range dew point analyser designed for continuous monitoring of dew point. It features a simple digital display and communications for dew point retransmission to an external PLC or SCADA system.

Oxygen Probe for Endothermic Gas Generators

SSi Bazooka Probe

The Bazooka Probe is designed to control the gas quality of endothermic generators. It is a reliable and high value sensor for controlling the gas composition of an endothermic gas generator compared to dew point, Lambda probe, and infrared technology.

It uses heat from the endothermic gas generator to heat the zirconia sensing element. The sampled exhaust gas is passed over the sensing element using the positive pressure of the generator. That means it can be installed at a relatively low temperature, ensuring a long lifetime.

Carburising Furnace Controller

SSi 9120

The powerful 9120 dual loop controller can control both temperature and atmosphere (carbon potential CP%, oxygen O2%, dew point, mV) on a endothermic gas generator, carburising sealed quench, pit, continuous mesh belt, cast link, or pusher furnace.

The instrument is developed to improve the visibility and ease of use of key parameters. It includes data logging/chart recording functions and advanced oxygen probe features such as multiple burn-off/purge features, alarms for high impedance and poor response which can aid predictive maintenance plans.

The SSi DPC2530 is a simple and robust dew point sensor, sampling pump system, and display to continuously measure, control, and alarm dew point in heat treatment and gas purity monitoring.

Sampling the dew point in heat treatment sectors is important because it directly reflects the moisture content of the furnace atmosphere, which has a big impact on material quality and process control.

The SDS is the ultimate temperature uniformity survey (TUS) tool for heat treatment furnaces required to be compliant with CQI-9 and AMS2750E. Performing a regular TUS provides invaluable data that indicates potential issues with furnace heating systems, seals, agitation, thermocouples. With that data, furnace throughput can be maximised and unplanned downtime can be reduced.

The SDS includes all hardware and software needed to quickly and easily create a detailed report on the temperature profile of the furnace. Our experience with thermal profiling to NADCAP standards means that we can support the troubleshooting process if uniformity is outside the required tolerance.
