ICE West Midlands Graduates & Students Committee West Midlands Graduates, Students, Apprentices and Technicians of the Institution of Civil Engineers.

The Early Careers committee is an affiliate committee of the Institute of Civil Engineers West Midlands. We are run by volunteer Graduates, Students, Apprentices and Technicians who organise a host of Networking, Social, Knowledge, Site Visits and Continuing Professional Development events throughout the year which provide our members with the opportunity to share best practice, engage with the la

test research and industry developments and also to network with other civil engineers. All involved in the Construction Industry, Civil Engineering or interested are welcome to our events and meetings and we encourage non-ICE Members who are Graduates, Apprentices or Students to get in touch with us about the Institution of Civil Engineers and our events.

Thank you to everyone who attended our Attribute workshop yesterday morning. We heard from San Yau and Ellie Walton about Attributes 1 and 2.

After a delicious selection of breakfast foods, San took us through a great analysis and example of using STARE to evidence our experiences in management and leadership, reflecting on his own examples. It was highlighted how important the E (evaluation) can be as part of our self analysis and elevates the regular use of STAR.

Thank you to ARUP for hosting us and our speakers for volunteering their time to mentor our Early Careers attendees.
