We were recently asked to offer a solution to extend the life span of an existing feature barrier that had seen better days. The zinc plated screws that had been used in an earlier attempt to salvage the situation had not worked. Also one section had already fallen apart and half of the metalwork from this section had been "removed" from site.
Our solution was to remake the end section using new and existing metalwork - we removed the timber carcass and replaced this with a new metal one.
Angle cleats were added to the remaining sections of the barrier which will extend the life of the feature for a while, until a replacement barrier is commissioned.
