Our third Façade Award shortlisted build is Orchard Day Nursery 😍🥳

This Verwood nursery, is a purpose‑built early years education facility designed to create a welcoming, contemporary learning environment.

The project uses thermally modified, fire‑treated Ayous timber cladding to align with the nursery’s nature centric style of learning and development, seamlessly blending with the school's dedicated forest feature which immerses the children in nature.

Selected for its stability, consistency and refined appearance, the timber enhances the building’s curved form, creating a wonderful, cohesive façade. The vertical installation also compliments the building’s height and rhythm while offering a warm, approachable aesthetic, well suited to a nursery environment.

Our second build shortlisted for the Façade Awards is the stunning residential property, Ruslin Farm 🥳

This is a build that carefully balances material choice, context and craftsmanship, resulting in a façade that is both contemporary and deeply rooted in its country setting.

Timber was of course the chosen cladding material and Canadian Western Red Cedar the selected species. This is due to its ability to unify the architecture, soften the exterior and deliver long‑term performance.

Used across elevations, gables and soffits, the Cedar creates a cohesive and elegant façade that brings warmth and refinement.
