Dredging on this old estate lake completed.
Moving onto the revetment work which has been made easier by the low water level.
This is necessary to stop the erosion of the sandy banks and in fact is replacing the old original revetment which was installed when the lake was originally built over 100 years ago.

We’ve just completed a 3000 cubic metre dredging contract and associated bank repairs for a local angling club using alder coppiced on site for the revetment work to aid bank stabilisation.
The silt removed will regenerate the lake for years to come benefitting aquatic environment and wildlife.

Coppicing alder trees to be used as revetment, here we are floating trees across the lake on a pulley/winch system set up by Jason Hammond.
Once all the tree work and revetment work is complete we will begin with the dredging
