Cavendish Northern Limited is expanding once again, and we are looking for skilled, motivated individuals to join our growing team at Head Office and the Fabrication Workshop.
We are currently recruiting for the following permanent positions:
🔹Cost Engineer
This role combines key principles of Quantity Surveying and Cost Control, with a focus on pre-contract activities including cost estimation, material take-offs, bid preparation, and the application of cost-control techniques to ensure accuracy and consistency.
Essential Requirements:
- Degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, Engineering, or a related discipline
- Strong analytical and commercial awareness
Preferred (but not essential):
- NVQ Level 3 in Pipe Fitting
Hours:
- 45-hour working week (9 hours per day, Monday-Friday)
🔹Crane Driver
We are seeking a flexible and reliable Crane Driver to support projects across multiple client sites, ensuring safe and efficient lifting operations that contribute to successful project delivery.
Essential:
- Mobile Crane Training
Preferred (but not essential):
- NVQ Level 3 in Rigging
Hours:
- 38-hour working week (8 hours Monday-Thursday, 6 hours Friday)
🔹Mechanic
We are looking for a proactive Mechanic to carry out inspections, maintenance, and repairs on our fleet of vans, trucks, cranes and HGVs. The successful candidate will be enthusiastic about further training and professional development within the role.
Preferred qualifications and experience:
- PAT Testing Certification
- LOLER qualification
- Mechanical background in vehicle maintenance and repair
Hours:
- 38-hour working week (8 hours Monday-Thursday, 6 hours Friday)
