🌍Powering a Low-Carbon Future in Teesside with NZT Power
We are proud to deliver piping pre-fabrication for a major Carbon Capture project in Teesside, in partnership with our valued client, Technip Energies.
As part of the East Coast Cluster, NZT Power and the Northern Endurance Partnership (NEP) will:
- Generate up to 742MW - equivalent to the annual electricity requirements of 1 million+ UK homes
- Capture up to 2 million tonnes of CO2 each year
- Transport and securely store the CO2 under the North Sea by the NEP, the UK's first CO2 transport and storage infrastructure project
This award is a fantastic opportunity. It enables us to provide long-term employment for Teesside's skilled tradespeople, further invest in our apprenticeship training programme, and continue reinvesting in our fabrication facilities. We expect to create more than 60 new roles, including skilled workforce for Welders, Platers, Pipe Fitters, Inspectors, Management, Quality Assurance, and Apprentices.
We were delighted to meet Michael Shanks MP, Minister for Energy, and Anna Turley MP for Redcar to discuss the positive impact these projects are delivering. They're creating jobs, strengthening our local supply chains and helping to drive the regeneration of the Tees Valley - with even greater impact ahead.
We thank Technip Energies for the opportunity and look forward to delivering this important project.
