Vanscape conversion returning for a canvas replacement.

It was lovely to see this van originally converted by Vanscape back in 2016 😍

The canvas on the REIMO roof had rotted through at the back due to the rubber seal no longer being effective at keeping the water out.

We replaced the canvas with a genuine replacement REIMO canvas, and also changed the pop-top headlining and fitted a new rubber seal so the van is ready for many more years of travels and adventures.

A quick job for Jack in-between other work last week, was this Nissan Qashqai that was towed in with a clutch fault.

The car was diagnosed as having a faulty clutch slave cylinder, which is inside the gearbox on these cars, so a new slave cylinder and clutch was ordered and replaced.
It turned out the car also needed a front tyre, so we replaced the tyre whilst it was in the workshop too, so that it was ready leave again in a reliable state 👌

It's rarely the best option to replace a complete pop-top roof that's already installed, but sometimes the only options available to you are difficult ones and you have to make things work!

Vanscape often replaces pop-top canvasses and carries out other repairs to pop-tops for customers, but it is very unusual for us to completely replace a whole pop-top, but in this case we had no choice because the fitted pop-top was of abysmal quality and had rotted away making it impossible to repair!

We removed the old pop-top and replaced it with a high quality Westdubs pop-top featuring a black scenic canvas and a nice new solar panel - a massive improvement and upgrade!

Vanscape replaced the pop-top canvas on this Ford Transit Custom campervan with a REIMO elevating roof.

The old canvas had rotted out at the back and couldn't be repaired any other way.
The customer decided to have a bespoke custom-made canvas instead of the genuine REIMO version.

Vanscape had already fitted the rear door windows to this van some time ago, and now the van returned for the side windows to be fitted.

We fitted Camper Glass windows to match the rear ones, with the driver's side opening and the passenger side fixed. This provided much more light and ventilation in the rear of the van which the owner is converting into a camper / day van.

Vanscape has replaced the canvas on a few of these Autosleeper Mezan motorhomes over the years.
Autosleeper doesn't provide any support for the them, so owners with a damaged canvas can no longer use the an, but luckily we have made our own canvas to fit these vans and can usually bring them back to life 😁

This van had both front scissor hinges snapped in half so the roof wouldn't operate properly, and the roof rubber seal was damaged, and the canvas was destroyed!

We fabricated new parts for the hinges, fitted a new rubber seal and a new canvas, and now this van is good to go for years again 👍

Vanscape replaced the old canvas on this Burstner Eliseo motorhome, with a new custom-made, one-off black one.
💥This is probably the only Burstner Eliseo in the world with a black canvas! 💥😎

Whilst we were fitting the new canvas, we also replaced the old broken solar panels and re-routed the cabling so it wasn't rubbing on the side of the canvas anymore, as this is what had caused the damage in the first place.

Vanscape fitted a Westdubs pop-top to this VW Caddy Maxi for a local lady that wanted to be able to use the van more easily for camping trips.

The new Westdubs elevating roof provides room to stand up and move about inside the van much easier without crouching and ducking - this little van is surprisingly spacious with the pop-top fitted.
