We were proud to supply Swinton sandstone for the striking extension of the Jim Clark Motorsport Museum, expertly completed by James Swinton for Scottish Borders Council.

This thoughtfully designed addition beautifully complements the historic fabric of the original building – blending traditional craftsmanship with a bold, modern edge. It’s a brilliant example of how natural stone can bridge past and present.

Located in Duns, the museum celebrates the legendary Scottish Formula One champion Jim Clark and welcomes visitors from around the world. We're especially pleased to share that the project was recognised with the 2022 Eastern Borders Development Association Award!

Tbt the Carrick Centre in Maybole, finished in our ashlar Swinton sandstone.

The Carrick Centre opened in January 2012 as a new church and community centre, combining Maybole Parish Church with a wider community hub. The structural frame was built from engineered glulam with timber infill panels, finished externally in stone and render.

Our Swinton ashlar gave the building its warm, textured street presence - a fitting anchor for a project designed to bring the whole community together.

Designed by Angus Design Associates, built by Fleming Buildings Limited - proud to have supplied the stone for this one!
