"When someone you love becomes a memory, that memory becomes a treasure." 🕊️

Here at GD Steelworks, we do a lot of different jobs, but some projects mean more than words can say. We had the profound honor of creating this custom memorial bench for a family in Newry, dedicated to their beloved Wife and Mother, Bridie Brailsford.

The family wanted a special, permanent place where they could sit, reflect, and feel close to her.
We designed this bench to include her portrait, a Celtic cross, and a message straight from their hearts:"Bridie Brailsford, Forever Missed, Always in Our Hearts, Love You Forever and Always."

Creating something that will stand the test of time and hold such deep emotional value for a family is why we do what we do. It’s more than just metalwork; it’s a lasting tribute to a life well-lived and a woman deeply loved.

Today we had the honour of delivering this very special memorial bench, made in loving memory of Christine (06/07/88 – 12/06/24) — a young mother who left far too soon, but whose memory will live on forever

Beautifully inscribed with the words:
*"Unable are the loved to die, for love is immortality."* 🦋

We delivered the bench this morning to the brand new **Christine's Coffee** truck — lovingly opened by her partner in her memory, right next to his shop at the corner of Ainsworth Avenue, Shankill Road. What an incredible and heartfelt way to keep her spirit alive in the community she was part of. ❤️

At GD Steelworks, jobs like this remind us why we do what we do. It's not just metalwork — it's helping families and loved ones create something lasting, something meaningful, something that says *she was here and she was loved.*

Our thoughts are with Christine's family, her partner, her children and everyone who misses & loved her. We hope this bench brings a little comfort for years to come. 🖤

It is always an honor to be entrusted with something so deeply personal. 🕊️

We recently had the privilege of creating this custom memorial bench in loving memory of young Nico from Scotland. Designed to reflect his spirit and the love of those who miss him, this piece features a custom portrait and a beautiful carousel design, alongside a touching tribute:

"We love you like a brother but just from another, we were left with great pain. You went to heaven but however the show must go on now that you're gone but you will never be forgotten. Loved forever and always, N.M"
