JOB DESCRIPTION
POSITION:
Drainage Engineer/Apprentice Drainage Engineer
REPORTING TO:
Operations Manager
SALARY:
Salary will reflect relevant qualifications, training and experience.
HOURS OF WORK:
Monday β Friday 7.30 am β 5.00 pm. Overtime may be required. This position may also include occasional night shift or weekend shift work. There may also be occasions when you will be required to work outside NI, on such occasions an additional allowance will be paid.
HOLIDAY ENTITLEMENT:
28 days which includes 8 bank holidays
LOCATION:
116-120 Duncrue Street, Belfast, BT3 9AR and or 94-96 Hillsborough Road Carryduff BT8 8HT.
OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
Reporting to the Operations Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and cleaning industrial drainage systems using high pressure jetting equipment, vacuum tankers and CCTV survey equipment.
AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:
1-To fully comply with Terms & Condition established for this position
2-To ensure issued/received Personal Protection Equipment is maintained in a hygienic condition and used throughout the course of your related duties at all times
3-To implement instructions given to you by your direct Line Manager
4-To fully comply with Company Quality Safety & Health & Safety policy and procedures related to your position.
5-To quickly identify the customers problem, effectively set up the required equipment to jet and extract the waste and if required survey the Customer drainage systems.
At all times you must keep the customer informed of progress and on completion report any issues uncovered or recommendations which may assist.
6-To ensure the correct application of service equipment is being used appropriately throughout the course of the job. Ensure it is cleaned and securely replaced.
7-Ensure that operating equipment is maintained in working order at all times and report defective equipment immediately.
8-To carry out such further tasks and duties as may from time to time be delegated by your Line Manager.
9-Be prepared to work overtime, night shifts or weekend shifts as required.
