Bleary New Spar Store

Harcon Electrical were happy to have provided a full service from Electrical Design to Installation for a new build Spar store in Bleary Village.

The project had a quick timescale from it's start to it's completion and opened just in time for Christmas!

Energy Efficient Lighting

Our selected Warehouse Lighting incorporated individually controlled/ programmable high bay fittings.

• Fully customisable illuminance level, standby time and standby level
• Programable with a single remote
• Microwave sensor with adjustable detection range
• Daylight harvesting technology, 2-120 lux
• Individually Illuminated by movement
• Built in emergency lighting

These fittings allow for great savings to be made, now programmed to only illuminate when lighting levels fall below the agreed lux level and only when movement is detected.

Office Lighting

All office lighting installed alongside absence PIR detection, insuring further savings due to the lighting being automatically switched off when it is not required.

Charging Stations

Multiple Charging Stations Designed and installed by our team incorporating:

• 110V transformer with individually protected outlets
• 415V outlet 32amp
• 230V commando socket 32amp
• 13amp socket outlets
• Single and 3 phase RCD protection.

Warehouse Electrical Installation Project

Full Electrical and Communications Installation in County Derry / Londonderry Northern Ireland

Our client re-located their premises.

Harcon engineers carried out all electrical and communications works, allowing for a smooth transition from the old location to a new warehouse making sure the running of their day to day commercial business remained unaffected.

We provided:

• A Lighting and emergency lighting design to provide outstanding lighting levels on the warehouse floor. The Hi-Bay lighting has a built in emergency function, not only does this serve the need to meet current regulation emergency lighting levels but also saves on time and materials not having to install additional emergency fittings and cabling around this large premises.

• Wiring of CCTV cabling

• Wiring and connections of communications, including stock check system, data points throughout offices and warehouse points.

• Exterior Flood lighting

• New distribution boards to meet current standards

• Surge protection

• Electrical Certification

• New offices, canteen, toilets and reception area electrical works, includes lighting and power installation, dado trunking and LOT20 approved heating.

What does LOT 20 Approved mean?

Lot 20 is an effective legislation for protecting our environment and driving energy efficiency standards, helping Britain to meet its carbon reduction targets. This latest eco-design directive for the heating industry follows similar ‘lots’ that have included changes to the production of light bulbs, washing machines, televisions, and other electrical appliances. Lot 20, part of the 2021 Energy Efficiency Directive (EED 2015/1188), makes it necessary for all heating manufacturers to comply with a specific efficiency standard when producing heaters or radiators, be they gas, liquid, or electricity-driven. Lot 20 compliant heaters don’t just cover radiators – they also include underfloor heaters and electric and gas fires.

Ultimately, the Lot 20 legislation aims to help manufacturers create Eco-design products that use significantly less energy to provide heat to our homes and businesses. Lot 20 regulations will not only have a positive impact on the UK’s carbon footprint, but they should also save you money on heating costs each month.

LED Lighting Project Clayton Hotel Belfast

Harcon Electrical have completed a full LED lighting and emergency lighting project at the Clayton Hotel Belfast.

The scope of the works consisted of installing just under 4000 fittings over 8 floors of this large hotel in Belfast City centre.
This included:

• 170 bedrooms
• Restaurant and Dining areas
• Main bar
• Lobby
• Function Bar
• Multiple Rest rooms throughout the building
• 3 large function rooms
• 10 large meeting rooms
• 7 floors of room corridor lighting
• Full back of house
• Multiple offices
• Gym and spa treatment suite
• Pool
• Changing rooms
• Stairwells
• Exterior lighting

And everywhere in between!

Organisation was key on this project to allow the works to be completed quickly and efficiently without effecting the everyday running of this very busy City centre Hotel.

The exterior lighting of this large building had not worked correctly for many years and now the building stands out to be noticed with flood lights up lighting the façade to the 8th floor

Of course let’s not forget the massive savings that have been made on their energy consumption and carbon footprint.

The Fitzwilliam Hotel Belfast

Refurbishment of The Fitzwilliam Hotel’s Function room.
This project has been recently completed by our engineers and includes:

• Removal of existing redundant supplies and cabling
• Full rewire to meet current standards and the needs of the hotel.
• ILight lighting control system for lighting scene selection
• New Data and communications installed
• New emergency lighting installation
• Power outlets installed in floor to allow for conference needs
• Custom design light fittings installed.

All works completed with minimum disruption to the everyday running of this 5 Star hotel
