AXIS is a direct replacement for the stock DJI X9 Air rear backplate, designed to make balancing your camera quick, accurate, and repeatable across a wide range of lens configurations.
The system features a sleek, low-profile design with interchangeable precision weights that securely screw into the rear of the plate. Simply select the weight combination that matches your lens setup, install it in seconds, and you’re ready to fly.
Why does balancing matter?
A correctly balanced gimbal allows the motors to operate within their intended range, reducing unnecessary load, heat, and wear. That translates into improved reliability, smoother operation, and can help extend the service life of your gimbal—particularly during aggressive manoeuvres where the motors are working hardest.
Throughout development we also saw noticeably improved stability during rapid direction changes and in challenging weather conditions, giving operators greater confidence when it matters most.
Each AXIS kit includes a range of interchangeable weights, allowing you to fine-tune the balance for different lenses, with and without ND filters.
