Yesterday we were back at Goldington Road for Bedford Blues v Cambridge Rugby Club pre season fixture and this time, with someone to cheer on in both colours! 🏉

After representing Bedford last season, Joe Hill has made the move to Cambridge for the 2026/27 campaign. We’re really proud to support Joe and to sponsor him in this next chapter of his rugby career.

Wishing Joe and everyone at Cambridge the very best for the National 1 season ahead. 💪

Of course, our long-standing support of Bedford Blues continues, and we’re looking forward to another season at Goldington Road and another Champ campaign.

On Monday 3rd August, 15 of our Bedford Battery vans were honoured to follow the funeral procession for Keith Woolerson from our Bedford Branch to Norse Rd Crematorium. An incredibly moving moment for colleagues past and present, and together we paid our respects. The sheer number of people who came to celebrate Keith’s life spoke volumes. He was respected, admired and loved by so many.
 
Keith’s commitment to Bedford Battery was extraordinary and he will never be forgotten.
 
Monday wasn’t just about saying goodbye, it was about celebrating a life well lived. Thank you to Keith’s family for allowing us to be part of such a special day and for sharing Keith with us for more than five decades.

Our Gremlins from yesterday have been caught and will be removed to a retirement home for troublesome Gremlins, these particular Gremlins have a taste for knocking out internet connections. If you see any that may have escaped please do not return them to us.

This festive period we often have a seasonal driver called Mr S Clause help deliver our parts. He seems to be pretty nippy although he also seems to have a liking for wearing his own unique work wear. We had to sternly point out our vans are NOT powered by reindeer for some strange reason.
