TRACTO UK MD, Roger Wahl, was delighted to officially handover one of two new GRUNDOBURST 400Gs to long standing customer, OCU Group; a leading contractor in the utilities and renewable energy sectors. Stephen Jackson, Head of Asset Purchases and Disposals and Andrew Jones, Group Head of Plant & Transport visited TRACTO’s offices in Bedford to collect the machine earlier this month.
An EUSR accredited bursting training course was carried out by TRACTO UK Training for the trenchless team at OCU Group’s headquarters in Stockport including classroom learning and site-based hands-on practice to ensure the team was ready for work on the first project.
The GRUNDOBURSTS were specified after the OCU Group won a significant contract for extensive pipe renewal projects. In line with AMP8 recommendations, the programme requires work to be carried out using trenchless technology where possible. Long renowned for their ability to efficiently install new pipes through old, whilst causing minimal effect to the surroundings during the works, the well-established trenchless division at the OCU Group approached TRACTO to agree a delivery schedule for two new GRUNDOBURST 400Gs. To cope with peaks and troughs in the work schedules the company will also rent two further 400Gs from Sunbelt Rental.
It's been a pleasure doing business with this fantastic team and we are looking forward to delivering the second unit imminently.

We were delighted to welcome Tim Hofmeister, CEO of the TRACTO Group, last week to our HQ in Bedford. It was a fantastic opportunity to bring the entire TRACTO UK team together to share ideas and align round future goals. Tim outlined a clear vision and mission for the TRACTO Group as we look ahead to 2030.
All the team received a personally signed copy of the TRACTO Strategy 2030 booklet which underlined the importance of every individual within the organisation.

We were up early this morning to start another FULL EUSR GRUNDOWINCH Twin Capstan Operator Open course in Bedford. We have delegates from 6 different companies attending today. Course has a full practical, oh, and air conditioning! 🥵
