Hey peeps.
Its that time when the v**e juice has v**ed and desperate measures are required. So using my favourite Knife Doodle that I now carry on a deep pocket clip, I set about getting drips out of empty bottles.
To my horror my blade was rusty.
So any excuse... polishing...
Sheath rinsed and drying, so the Fairbairn Sykes pommel also got another polishing to remove some tiny scratches.
So a great day...

alright,
this wu tang sword could defeat you!
if you buy one you are immune!!!

well I'm a lying bastard. But I will make more and hopefully sell them.
This baby is off to America.

hello wonderful peeps.
Apart from the addition of 3 more rivets to the webbing loop. shes finished.
I will polish again and do a walk round video of her now shes done before sending her off the America. I spent more time on attachment details because this knife will be legal to carry openly where she will live. Here in the UK, Im more interested in the sheath for safety reasons. We unfortunately can't legally carry a fixed Blade on our belts unless its for work or a good reason i.e camping and hunting, even still, a jobs worth P***s could report you in such circumstances.
The owner of this baby can sleep easy whilst wearing it on their pyjamas!!!

Good arseternoon,
Well I have all the s**t..... so I got down to it... started the Fairbairn Sykes sheath. Love the carbon fibre texture on the kydex from . So im thinking: to carve the kydex to expose her shoulders would look sleek as f**k. Im thinking of a dangler similar to the monster Bowie sheath, with webbing and kydex attached to the back. I might also add some kydex scout carry straps to the front. It will be far more Fancy anywhooo. She's going to the USA so the lucky fella can wear it without fear of Mr.Plod.
See you all tomorrow..

hello wonderful peeps.
frustrating that the rivets for the Fairbairn Sykes sheath still haven't arrived. always something to moan about!!!
so i sat with my pad and worked out the handle dimensions for the Friction folder im doing based on a design by Tops knives. a tribute not a clone, ive just used it for basic reference then done my own bevels grinds.
im loving the chunky profile.
im not sure how the handle will end up, but I'm envisaging maybe copper liners with some luminous g10 and maybe wood or carbon fibre outer scales. I have made a few Friction folders but usually with my "S" guard style. This is a f**k site easier!!!

Hey there.
Been sitting waiting for kydex for the Fairbairn Sykes and get an update saying tomorrow... f**kers.

So i spent the waiting time doing hand sanding on the guard, to remove burnt on oil from quenching.

So it looks better and will be even better after a final polish.

Then I sharpened Mandys knaffs. The big boy has been my Patina test. Its had a year of hand washing and drying immediately. So a grand patina had formed. So I f**king polished the bastard off. I know, the whole point was to develop the patina!!! Couldn't control myself, I also polished the handle with my miracle brown compound, wow. Happy Knaff, happy Waff.
