G.A. Fabrications can work from an initial idea, a sketch, measurements, an existing component or a full set of drawings. We can also support the design stage with CAD before fabrication begins.

The important part is understanding what the finished item needs to do, where it needs to fit and what demands will be placed on it.

Our customer wanted a new freestanding cooker, but her existing stainless steel worktop needed cutting and remodelling to accommodate it.

She had struggled to find anyone willing to take on the job. That’s where we stepped in.

We adapted the worktop to make room for the new cooker, putting our stainless steel fabrication skills to work in a home kitchen.

In some cases, an existing part can be used as a reference to reproduce a suitable replacement.

We will need to understand the material, measurements, function and stresses involved before confirming what is possible, but bringing the original item gives us a useful place to start.

It is one of the ways bespoke fabrication can solve a very practical problem.
