⚠️ IGEM/UP/1B Edition 4 comes into effect from 1st October 2026. Are you ready?
The updated standard changes how engineers carry out tightness testing and direct purging on small Natural Gas, LPG and LPG/Air installations.
There’s no need to panic. This isn’t a complete overhaul of everything you already know, but there are important changes to procedures, pressures and timings that engineers need to understand before the new standard takes effect.
The important thing is not to leave it until the last minute. Working to an outdated standard can create both compliance and safety issues.
