According to the Fire Safety Regulations BS 5839-1: 2019 and The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 [FSO], Business must ensure that systems must be fully tested and serviced annually at a minimum of 2x visits per year.

This week, Safetec was called to carry out a 1st maintenance on this clients external detection and lighting GJD system. We found evidence of water ingress causing damage to existing Opal detectors, causing frequent false alarms.

We replaced the damaged detectors, repositioned to provide a better coverage of the premises and cleaned all protective covers to remove moss build up. This ensures the system performs accurately for another year.
